become a miniature ginza known as Nihonmachi. Japan Center,
on Geary at Webster, stretching for 3 square blocks, is a
complex with shops selling unique items from the Orient,
restaurants, art galleries and a movie theater complex.
Kabuki Spa offers great massages for the weary visitor and
the majestic Peace Pagoda in the plaza is a photo favorite!
Adjacent to Japantown is an area locals call The Fillmore,
which offers a smorgasbord of boutique shopping and dining
(2000-2200 blocks of Fillmore). The Fillmore entertainment scene includes six live music venues in three block between 1300 and 1600 Fillmore, including Yoshi's and the legendary Boom Boom Room. At 1805 Geary Street, you’ll
find the world famous FILLMORE, known for showcasing rock
and roll greats. This dance hall turned rock club, still
